Lipoic Acid

Alpha-Lipoic acid, or ALA is a powerful fat- and water-soluble antioxidant. ALA is also an important component in the energy production process in cells. Some supplements come in the form of R-Lipoic Acid, which is a natural form of lipoic acid that your body can synthesize and safely metabolize. It may be better absorbed and more effective as an antioxidant than alpha-lipoic acid.
